The Wella TrendVision Awards is a high-profile, visually stunning celebration of creativity, style, and innovation in the hair and beauty industry. This year’s event — delivered by Vibration Production on behalf of their client Wella— was hosted at Magazine London and brought together leading stylists, influencers, and industry experts for an evening of runway showcases, live performances, and cutting-edge presentations.

gassProductions was appointed by Vibration Production to deliver a broadcast-quality multi-camera production and live streaming solution capable of capturing the energy and glamour of the event in real time.

To achieve this, we delivered a three-camera vision-mixed production streamed live to Facebook, supported by primary and backup ISO recordings of all camera angles, alongside the combined slide and VT feed.

Two fixed-position cameras — both equipped with long-throw Canon CJ-45 lenses — covered the main stage, while a roaming camera fitted with an XA20 lens provided dynamic handheld coverage across the venue.

To ensure full roaming capability, dual wireless receivers were deployed, enabling seamless operation between the main hall and mezzanine level. All cameras were colour-matched, with full camera shading support on the fixed units to maintain consistent image quality throughout the live show.

The stream relied on gassProductions’ fully redundant solution, built around bonded connectivity using Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and 4G. In the event of any failure, a cloud-based server automatically switched streams to a backup encoder — ensuring viewers experienced zero disruption.

Our portable production unit (PPU) handled live vision mixing, slide integration, and lower-third graphics, with a Blackmagic HyperDeck on standby for motion graphics playback if required. All ISO footage was securely transferred to SSD, backed up, and dispatched to the client the following day.
