Frequently asked questions
How many cameras does an event need?
It depends on the room and what you want to capture. A single-camera setup suits a straightforward keynote or talking head. Two to three cameras covers most conferences, giving you a wide, a close-up on the speaker and a cutaway for audience or panel reactions. Larger productions with multiple stages, or anything being broadcast live, typically run four or more with a vision mixer cutting between them.
How far in advance should we book event video production?
Six to eight weeks is comfortable for a standard conference or awards evening. That allows time for a site visit, a proper run-of-show, and crew booking. Peak season, roughly September to November and March to May, books up earlier. We do take shorter-notice work, but the earlier the conversation, the more options you have on crew and kit.
Do you work alongside our existing AV supplier?
Yes, and it is how a large share of our work is delivered. We integrate with the in-room AV team, taking feeds from the switcher, sharing the audio desk and working to their schedule. Clear division of responsibility is agreed at the planning stage so there is no overlap on site.
How quickly can we get the edited video after the event?
Same-day or next-day turnaround is possible for social clips and short highlights, and we regularly deliver these on site. Full edits, multi-camera cutdowns and anything needing colour, graphics or subtitles usually take one to two weeks depending on scope.
What affects the cost of event video production?
The main drivers are the number of cameras and crew, how many days you need including rig and rehearsal, whether the event is being streamed live, and what you want delivered afterwards. Venue infrastructure matters too, since some venues are pre-rigged and others need a full install. We quote each job individually rather than working from a fixed price list.
